What are the benefits of XERO?
Is simple, easy to use and has plenty of short introductory and “how to” videos available. The payroll, superannuation functions and automatic bank feed are very easy to process. Suitable for small business owners that do their own bookkeeping.
What is a Certified XERO advisor?
Person that has completed courses and training on how to use the functions of XERO, as well as training yearly on constant improvements and additional features added.
What are the end-of-financial-year requirements in XERO?Before your accountant can do the end of financial year reports and tax return you need to have done the following:
a. Reconcile all bank accounts up to 30th June.
b. Enter and approve all invoices and bills.
c. Run Aged Receivable Summary Report to ensure all invoices are recoverable.
d. Run Aged Payable Summary Report to ensure all amounts are still owing.
e. Ensure that you have provided your accountant with Advisor, Manage User and Payroll Administration roles.
f. Run a Profit & Loss report to cross check the employee’s wages total for the year matches to the amounts in the PAYG Payment Summary.
g. Send PAYG Payment Summary to your employees by the 14th July.
h. Lodge the PAYG Payment Summary to the ATO via the file option in XERO by the 14th August.
i. Notify your accountant on completion of the above to begin your taxes.
